ARTICLE :The Islamic Revolution emerged in Iran in 1979 under the able leadership of Imam Khomeini. He started his movement against the pro-American and anti-Islamic policies of the Shah in 1969. This revolution was a unique event of the 20th century, which changed the political standards of the East and the West completely and left lasting impression on the world economy, politics and culture. Foundations of the Islamic revolution were laid on the golden teachings of Islam.
