KARACHI: Companies from Morocco, China and Saudi Arabia have signed contracts with local suppliers to provide engineering products, gems/jewellery and tents/canvas.
The ceremony took place at the Expo Centre here on Friday, which was attended by Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) Chief S.M. Muneer and TDAP Secretary Rabiya Javeri Agha.
ISLAMABAD: The Asian Development Bank on Friday approved a loan of $30 million to Engro Elengy Terminal Company, which is building Pakistan’s first liquefied natural gas terminal at the Port Qasim.
The plant will start regasification of up to 3 million tonnes of imported LNG from next month. The loan is to be used to build and operate the regasification facility.

KARACHI: Around 100 US companies engaged in energy, textiles, agriculture, healthcare, infrastructure, IT, etc are going to attend the ‘Pak-US Business Opportunity’ conference being held on March 10-11 in Islamabad, US Ambassador to Pakistan Richard Olson said on Friday.
Briefing media about the conference, which would be third in series, the US envoy said an economically prosperous Pakistan would help integrate regional economies, bringing peace and security for all, including Afghanistan.

ISLAMABAD: Revenue collection rose by 27 per cent year-on-year to Rs181.906 billion in February, backed up by regulatory duties on several hundred items and hike in sales tax on petroleum products.
The figure was Rs143.224bn in the same month of last year.
