According to KWSB, special team during raids found out that these illegal and bogus mineral water factories were using tap-water and also using famous brand’s bottles to fill it. The water board claimed that there are hundreds of illegal companies which are running bogus mineral water factories.

The MD KWSB said that bogus companies used to sell tap-water and boring water which was below health standards. Such factories do not follow the rules and regulations design by the concerned departments and authorities and also not pay bills to the KWSB. Such factories had acquired illegal water connections from the water utility’s pipelines which also created artificial shortfall in the surrounding areas.

“The drive will continue until all illegal factories are brought down”. He hoped that all government bodies and social circles as well as citizens will help the KWSB in this regard. The special team is taking action against illegal factories on secret information provided by the citizens, he added.
