CNG stations never showed loss in audit report: Ogra chairman

ISLAMABAD: Chairman Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (Ogra) Saeed Ahmad Khan said over 2,000 CNG filling stations were audited and none of them had been in loss since the date they started their operations.

Briefing the National Assembly Standing Committee, chaired by Dewan Ashiq Husain Bukhari, he said the margin of their profit decreased with reduction in the gas prices.



Chairman Ogra said the country had a production of four billion cubic feet per day (CFD) whereas there was demand of six billion CFD. He said the government had good intentions to introduce CNG fuel for green environment but energy plan was missing, he said.
