Karachi: The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has announced that the Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) stations in Sindh region will remain closed from 8am, Saturday, December 22 till 8am Sunday, December 23, for 24 hours.

The SSGC warned that the CNG stations, which would be found operative during this shut down period, would be subjected to disconnection of gas supply for another 24 hours. This fresh CNG shut down on the weekend would come only 32 hours after ending of two-day closure of CNG stations observed earlier in the week.

Throughout Friday, fuel pumps and CNG stations in the city witnessed massive queues of vehicles waiting for their turn to fill-up gas in CNG cylinders before start of the new shut down period for CNG. Earlier, the CNG’s supply had been resumed in the region from 12 midnight Thursday after the conclusion of two-day prolonged closure of CNG pumps.
