FC offers to hold courses for LSE, LCCI

LAHORE: The International Finance Corporation has offered to hold a special training course for stakeholders of the Lahore Stock Exchange on the Alternative Dispute Resolution process (ADF), members of the IFC’s business climate improvement team said during a visit to the LSE.

 

The team, consisting of Amjad Bashir and Saima Zuberi from the IFC’s Operations department, told the LSE’s management that the objective of the IFC, the investment arm of the World Bank, is to help improve the investment climate in Pakistan for enhancement of global investors’ confidence in the country.

 

The team said that, with its focus is on contract enforcements, the IFC is working on promotion of ADR in Pakistan.

 

The delegation was briefed about the LSE’s internal procedure of dealing with investors’ grievances and how the procedure of arbitration is conducted to settle investors’ claims.
