Karachi The owners of commercial and private vehicles who use compressed natural gas (CNG) will suffer 48 hours closure of CNG stations from Thursday (tomorrow).

The Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) management on Tuesday rescheduled the CNG closure programme for the current week and decided to close the gas supply to all CNG stations in Sindh region from Thursday (tomorrow) for 48 hours instead of Friday, 24th May as announced earlier.

This step has been taken due to the short supply of gas from different fields, a SSGC official said in a statement issued here. As per SSGC announcement all CNG stations in the province will remain closed from 8am on Thursday (tomorrow), till 8am on Saturday, May 25th.

The gas supply to all CNG stations in Sindh remained suspended on Tuesday and as per schedule the supply will resume at 8am on Wednesday (today) for the next 24 hours.
