ICCI for strong coordination between govt, private sector

Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry President Zafar Bakhtawari has said there is a dire need to formulate prudent economic policies with consultation of business community.

He said this while talking to Tahir Iqbal Chaudhary, newly elected member National Assembly from District Vehari. Zafar Bakhtawari was of the view that our economy is facing many challenges. He said that the only way can get the economy to grow sustainably is through a strong private sector so the government and the private sector needs to develop strong coordination.

Zafar Bakhtawari lauded the proactive role of Tahir Iqbal Chaudhary in formation of Vehari Chamber that help in accelerating the growth of agro-based industries in this area. ICCI President said that business community of Vehari district pines high hopes from Tahir Iqbal Chaudhary, therefore he should also conferred his devoted efforts for establishing industrial estate in Vehari which would bring further prosperity in South Punjab.

He said that VCCI would definitely accelerate and flourish business activities in the south Punjab and also expressed hope that this Chamber would play its pivotal role with the collaboration of all Chambers and Trade Associations for the promotion of trade and industry and for the uplift and economic development of this area.

Tahir Iqbal Chaudhary said his main priority would be the promotion of business and industrial activities in this district by facilitating the growth of private enterprises, which would create multiple benefits for this area. He further said that he would take all possible steps for further development of Vehari and assured full support to Vehari Chamber of Commerceand Industry (VCCI) in its operations. He expressed his confidence that the Vehari chamber would play an important role in uplift of the district.
