Islamabad: The Islamabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ICCI) has initiated an interest-free loan scheme for the welfare of poor and needy people by allocating an amount of Rs5 million.
So that they could set up small businesses.ICCI President Zafar Bakhtawari stated this while sharing views with Dr. Ajmad Sabiq, founder and CEO of the Akhuwat Foundation, which is working for alleviating poverty by empowering socially and economically marginalised families through interest-free micro finance and by harnessing entrepreneurial potential, capacity building and social guidance.
The ICCI president said that it was their social and national responsibility to help the poor segment of the society, as usinessmen and industrialist have resources to help poor families.
