Japanese firms ready to invest in Karachi: Hussain

Karachi: Administrator KMC, Muhammad Hussain Syed has said that over 90 Japanese companies have shown interest to invest and set up industry in Karachi. Muhammad Hussain Syed, who is on a visit to Japan said this while briefing the investors at the stall of the KMC in an International Expo organised by the Bank of Tokyo, said a statement issued here on Tuesday.

He said more than 150 Japanese companies are participating in the International Expo. Board of Investment and the KMC have also set up the stall from Pakistan, he added.

He said different Japanese companies are already working in Karachi in the transport, automobile and heavy machinery sectors. The Administrator KMC said that vibrant efforts are being made to improve the infrastructure of the metropolis.
