Karachi Port handles 67,400 tons of cargo

Karachi Port handled a cargo volume of 67,400 tons during the last 24 hours that included 36,241 tons of imports and 31,159 tons of exports, Karachi Port Trust reported on Wednesday.

The port handled imports, including containerised cargo (3,093 tons), bulk cargo (2,138 tons), DAP (4,688 tons), coal (12,238 tons), and oil / liquid cargo (14,084 tons).

It handled exports, including containerised cargo (8,900 tons) and bulk cargo (374 tons)

In the last 24 hours, four ships were moored, which were carrying general cargo, containers, tankers and bulk cargo.

Those three ships were Izumo, Kota Gfmbira, AS Olivia, and Kanchana Naree.

Ten ships are expected to arrive in the next 24 hours. They are carrying chemicals, crude oil, containers, sugar, molasses, and jet oil.

Those 10 ships were SC Liaoning, Fair Spirit, Posen, Ever Result, Klosc, Iver Prosperity, Lodestar Genesis, Selini, Santa Rosa, and Tabea.

Three ships have sailed out from the port and another six ships were expected to leave the port for their next destination in the next 24 hours.
