KMC urged to improve infrastructure

KARACHI: Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) Director of South Asia Department Shigeki Fokudo has urged the KMC Administrator Syed Hashim Raza Zaidi to improve infrastructure of Karachi for better and more investments.

Presenting the report about favorable environment for safe foreign investment to KMC Administrator, he further asked the administrator to ensure measures to project foreign experts and labor should be taken along with the availability of facilities of water and electricity for 24 hours so that better environment could establish for investment.

It is pertinent to mention here that the report was prepared by JICA experts with the collaboration of local persons in one and half year.

Zaidi said that foreign investors would be provided with every type of facility in Karachi while various development projects under public private partnership were being considered. He said KMC was ready to provide facilities and help foreign investors start projects or business in Karachi and the works which were under the responsibilities of Government of Sindh or Government of Pakistan would be fully recommended.
