KARACHI: The Karachi Water & Sewerage Board (KWSB) has conditioned receiving of complaints to payment of bills and asked the citizens to show the copy of paid bill at the time of lodging complaint.
The KWSB took the decision at a meeting presided over by its Managing Director Misbahuddin Fareed. Deputy Managing Director Technical Ali Muhammad Paleejo and other officers were also present. The decision was aimed at enhancing the KWSB revenue. The meeting noted that the consumers were not cooperating in payment of bills and declared that the performance of bulk recovery and retail department was disappointing. In order to steer KWSB out of financial crisis, the meeting decided to link the complaint receiving to payment of bills.
