LGP price cut by Rs 11.50 per kg

Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) marketing companies have reduced the LPG price by Rs 11.50 per kg, Rs 134 per domestic cylinder and Rs 515 per commercial cylinder. The reduction in LPG price is due to decline in the commodity price in international market, which has reduced by $87 per ton consequently local producers have also decreased the price by Rs 11.5 per kg.

In international market LPG price has reduced from $895 to $817 per metric ton and significant reduction of $87 per metric ton has been witnessed. Following the cut, PARCO, the major LPG producer in the country, has also reduced the price by Rs 11,368 per ton and new price in the county will be Rs 90, 578 per metric ton.

After this recent decrease of Rs 11.50 per kg, new price of LPG in Gilgit-Baltistan, Muzaffarabad, Naran, Bagh, Kaghan and Peshawar would be Rs 115 per kg and domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 1330. Rawalpindi, Islamabad, Murree, Attock, Mirpur, Jehlum, Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar khan and Multan LPG price has been fixed at Rs 110 per kg, while domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 1270.

In other major cities of the country like Lahore, Gujranwala, Faisalabad, Sialkot and Gujrat new price of LPG gas will be Rs 105 per kg and price of domestic cylinder will be Rs 1210. In Karachi, LPG price will be 100 rupees per kg and domestic cylinder will be available at Rs 1150. Talking to this scribe, Chairman LPG Distributors Association Irfan Khokhar said that in the coming few days, LPG will be available at more cheap rates as compared to Petrol and High Speed Diesel and emphasised doing away with CNG sector for promotion of LPG.
