LTC lauded as a model of modern transport system

Friday, July 19, 2013 - Lahore : Lahore Transport Company (LTC) is a model of modernized transport culture which will be soon replicated in other cities of Pakistan. In a short span of time LTC has played a significant role by imparting modern, efficient and affordable transport facilities to the general public.


Metro Bus Service is also a successful example of flagship project which is providing state of the art bus service of International standard on daily basis and thousands of commuters are benefiting from this impeccable transport service.

This was stated by the newly appointed Chairman of LTC Khawaja Ahmad Hassan on the 40th Board of Directors meeting of Lahore Transport Company held at Chief Minister Secretariat Lahore, here today. At this occasion Secretary Transport Punjab Shaukat Ali, Vice Chairman LTC Mehr Ishtiaq, District Coordination Officer Lahore Nasim Sadiq, CEO LTC Haider Latif, Javed Masud MD Pacra, Ramzan Siddique Bhatti, Mariam Khawar, Omer Pirzada and other members were also present in the meeting.

Khawaja Hassan has said that it is vision of our leadership to provide relief to the lower segment of society in order to improve the quality of life.

He has said that he is grateful to the Chief Minister Punjab Mian Muhammad Shahbaz Sharif to show confidence on his abilities and particularly for his services rendering in the transport sector. He reiterated that the people have given us the mandate for the larger cause and every step would be taken for the result based public service delivery.

He has also said that a sub-committee has been constituted which will review the various suggestions to make the small public transport safer and affordable for the general public. Secretary Transport Punjab Shaukat Ali and Mehr Ishtiaq also spoke on the occasion.
