MCB Bank declares cash dividend of Rs3

KARACHI: The board of directors of the MCB Bank Limited on Thursday declared final cash dividend of Rs3 and 10 percent bonus shares, in addition to interim cash dividend of Rs10 already paid for the year ended December 31, 2012, according to a statement.
Earnings per share (EPS) for the year came to Rs22.77 as compared to Rs21.12 for December 31, 2011, it said.

Total assets of the MCB Bank Limited grew by 17 percent to Rs765.89 billion. During this period, 27 percent increase was recorded in investment to Rs402.06 billion and five percent increase in gross advances to Rs262.39 billion, while non-performing loans of the bank reduced by four percent to Rs25.56 billion, it said.

The deposit base of the bank grew by 11 percent, closing at Rs545.06 billion with 18 percent increase in the savings deposits, 13 percent increase in the current deposits and 12 percent decrease in the fixed deposits.

For the year 2012, the bank reported the profit-before-tax of Rs32.05 billion and profit-after-tax of Rs20.94 billion with an increase of two percent and eight percent, respectively, it added.
