Mohsin Aziz made BoIT vice chairman in KP

PESHAWAR: The provincial government has dissolved the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Board of Investment and Trade (KP-BoIT) and appointed Mohsin Aziz as its vice chairman.

According to a notification, the first BoIT formed in November last was dissolved and the new board will be formed after the vice-chairman takes its charge. The BoIT had to be dissolved after the resignation of its former vice-chairman Ilyas Ahmed Bilour and eight other members on July 17.

Mohsin Aziz is a known businessman from Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. His group of industries is one of the largest private sector employers and investors in the province. He has remained a provincial minister for industries, commerce, labour, mineral development, technical education and manpower in the caretaker government in the past.

Mohsin Aziz is currently also serving on the Federal Board of Investment Islamabad as a director, and is also a director of the Pakistan Petroleum Limited (PPL). He has twice served as a director on the board of the State Bank of Pakistan.

Mohsin has served as chairman of the All Pakistan Textile Mills Association (Aptma) for two terms and during his tenure his efforts for improvements in the textile sector were acknowledged nationally.
