FAISALABAD - Leading international seed company Monsanto has formally made an intervention of showcasing its new technology at farm land of the University of Agriculture Faisalabad (UAF) to enable agricultural stakeholders witness the upcoming technology.
The Monsanto also sowed second generation of genetically modified corn at UAF farm here on Sunday. Speaking on the occasion, UAF Vice Chancellor Prof Dr Iqrar Ahmad Khan described the event a wonderful beginning of university-industry linkage.
He said the Monsanto was doing business and UAF was also pursuing agenda of promoting opportunities that could benefit academia, industry and farming community at large.
Earlier, Muhammad Asim, Regulatory Affairs Lead Monsanto Pakistan, briefed about the trial, purpose, objective of the trail and the company at large.
