New hydel projects demanded

LAHORE (PR) The Wapda workers have demanded the government to arrange supply of oil for closed thermal power stations in a bid to raise generation and build new hydel and coal-fired thermal power stations at earliest to overcome serious load shedding in the country.

These demands were voiced in a large meeting of held on Thursday under the aegis of Pakistan WAPDA Hydro Electric Central Labour Union at Bakhtiar Labour Hall.

The meeting was presided over by Khurshid Ahmad, General Secretary of union. The meeting was also addressed by Malik Noor Muhammad, M/s. Osama Tariq, Rana Abdul Shakoor, Ch. Maqsood Ahmad, Sajid Kazmi, Haji Muhammad Younis, Asghar Niazi and others representatives of the union.
