NSS launches student prize bonds

ISLAMABAD: In order to promote saving among youngsters, the National Savings Scheme (NSS) will launch a student welfare bond, report official sources.

The student welfare prize bonds will be on sale from November 16 to December 14, 2012 in every National Savings Centre across the country.

According to an announcement made by the NSS on Monday, the National Savings Organization has surpassed its investment target in the first quarter of the current financial year. The first prize of the bond is Rs700,000 and the second prize is Rs200,000. Moreover, the third and fourth prizes are Rs1,199 and Rs1,000 respectively. The first draw is scheduled to be held on February 15, 2013 in Karachi.

The main objective of launching of these prize bonds is to boost the habit of saving among students.
