OPIC offers investment, financing to Pakistani cos

KARACHI: During a briefing session on ‘Mobilising Private Capital for Growth in Pakistan’ organised by US Consulate in collaboration with Trade Development Authority of Pakistan (TDAP) and the Sindh Board of Investment US Overseas Private Investment Corporation (US OPIC) offers investment and financing to Pakistani companies focused on infrastructure development, sustainable energy and other value added projects. 


Ms Elizabeth Littlefield President and Chief Executive Officer of US OPIC and Richard Olson United States Ambassador to Pakistan visited Karachi and met with business community. The financing also covers small and medium enterprises (SMEs).


Rabiya Javeri Agha Secretary TDAP1 said Pakistan needs investment to cope with quality infrastructure and en1111ergy infrastructure challenges. She said Pakistan faces numerous challenges in the development of sustainable energy generation, new nuclear carbon capture storage and renewable energy.
