Pesco recovers Rs 7.7 million more from defaulters

The Detection and Recovery Teams of Peshawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) recovered more Rs 7.7 million and disconnected power supply to a large number of defaulters for non-payment of Rs 45 million in different parts of the province.

According to a spokesman of the power distribution company, recovery teams in Swabi-I Division recovered Rs 392,871/-from 266 defaulting consumers while in Swat Circle Rs 483,974/- was recovered from defaulters.

In PESCO Mardan-I Division Rs 1,220,000/- have been recovered from 221 defaulters, Rs 210,000 were recovered from 36 defaulters in Pabbi-II Sub-Division while electricity to Nasir Kali, Taro Jabba was disconnected for non- payment. Similarly, in Pirpai, Sub-Division Rs 200,000/- have been recovered from 85 defaulters and Rs 200,000 were also recovered in Pabbi-II Sub-Division, while in Risalpur Sub-Division Rs 136,000/- were recovered from defaulters of Qazi and Behram Kili, while power supply to seven defaulters was disconnected.

Furthermore, in Nowshera City Sub-Division Rs 200,000/- have been recovered from defaulters, while six defaulters were disconnected for non-payment of Rs 235,000/-. Similarly in Pir Sabaq Sub-Division power supply was disconnected to Pir Sabaq area for non-payment of Rs 44 million while Rs 37,923 were recovered from defaulters in Tangi Sub-Division from eight defaulters.

In Rural Cantt Division, Peshawar, Recovery Teams recovered Rs 2,886,098/- from 622 defaulters and disconnected power supply of 34 consumers for non-payment of Rs 798,904/-. In DI Khan Rural Division Rs 1,150,000/- have been recovered from defaulters. Similarly in Urban-I Kohat Sub-Division Rs 1,150,000/- have been recovered from defaulters.
