Power shortfall reaches up to 5,500 MW

ISLAMABAD: Electricity shortfall has increased upto 5500 megawatt across the country and unannounced load-shedding reached upto18 hours.

Media reports say the production of electricity was recorded 12,800 while the demand of is 18,300-MW. Therefore, the power shortfall has been recorded 5,500 MW countrywide.

Owing to increasing shortfall of electricity, the demand of electricity has been reached 2500 MW in Lahore and the duration of unannounced power outage has crossed 18 hours both in cities and rural areas.

Due to unannounced and long hours power outage across the country not only disturbed the business activities but also the routine life at homes.
