Power supply suspended in large area

Monday, July 08, 2013 - Karachi Electricity supply has been suspended in large area of the city due to tripping of high transmission line.


Spokesperson to Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) Ahmed Faraz said that 220 KV transmission line of Karachi Distributing Authority (KDA) tripped due to functional problem on Sunday late night.


13 grid stations including areas of Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Hadid, Sachal, University and other were affected due to tripping of line. However spokesperson to KESC has claimed that provision of electricity to affected areas has been completely reinstated again.
