ISLAMABAD : The Pakistan Pharma-ceutical Manufacturers Association (PPMA) has demanded permanent representation in the board of the Drug Regulatory Authority of Pakistan (DRAP) for early resolution of issues faced by the industry.

“Since Pakistan has a strong base in this sector, we can enter emerging international markets,” said Kaiser Waheed, executive member and former chairman of PPMA while talking to a group of journalists here.

In a recent meeting with Saira Tarar, State Minister for National Health Services, Waheed said that the pharmaceutical industry has pleaded for medicine price adjustment of 1.5 per cent per annum.
