Seeks govt help to reduce line losses

PeshawaróChief Engineer Opera-tion Abdul Latif Khan has assumed the charge of Chief Executive Pe-shawar Electricity Supply Company (PESCO) and has started discharg-ing his official responsibilities.

He belongs to Lund Khawar of dis-trict Mardan Abdul Latif Khan earned his graduation in BSc Honors from University of Engineering and Technology Pe-shawar in 1974 and joined WAPDA in May 1976 as SDO. In 35 years of his service Ab-dul Latif Khan served throughout Pakistan on key posts including SE & Chief Engineer.

His services as Project Director (CO) and Chief Engineer Development& Chief En-gineer Operation remained remark-able. Federal and Provincial governments recognized his services in rehabili-tation work of disastrous earthquake of 2005 and re-construction of distribution system badly damaged by floods in 2010.

Simi-larly in war against terrorism resto-ration of electric supply system was made due to hectic efforts of Abdul Latif Khan. Abdul Latif Khan is a popular Officer in PESCO. He is Executive Member of Khyber Pukhtoonkhwa of Pakistan Engineering Council. He tried his best for the Engineers at all levels for the well being of Engineers. Abdul Latif Khan Posses a wide experience in Transmission & Distribution system. During his service period he also earned his MSc in Power Engineering in 2001.He participated in a number of workshops & Seminars representing Pakistan in Power Sector. He obtained best training in Power Sector and Man-agement. Keeping in view his outstanding performance, academic achievements and profes-sional zeal Abdul Latif Khan was posted as Chief Ex-ecutive PESCO and has assumed the office of Chief Executive PESCO last day and has started discharging his official re-sponsibilities.
