KARACHI: Provincial Minister for Information and Archives Sharjeel Inam Memon has said that increase in loadshedding hours in Sindh, especially Karachi, is a conspiracy against people of the province. Memon expressed these views while talking to a group of media representatives in his office, here on Friday.

He asked Karachi Electric Supply Company (KESC) to reduce loadshedding hours in the better interests of the people of metropolis because increase in power outage would create more problems. The minister further said that this increased power breakdown would also leave a negative impact on commercial and business activities in the city.

Memon said it is quite a pity that the government of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) has made life of people miserable since it has come into power, and that loadshedding is being increased for nothing. He said that PPP would not leave the people of Sindh alone in this difficult time and the interests of Sindh would be protected at every forum.

The progress of Karachi is the progress of Pakistan and increase in loadshedding willaffect the development of country, he added.
