KARACHI: The Union of Small and Medium Enterprises (Unisame) has urged the Small and Medium Enterprises Development Authority (Smeda) to conduct a short-term course for business associations to develop SMEs all over the country.

Unisame President Zulfikar Thaver, a member of Smeda’s board of directors, advised the chief executive officer of Smeda, Nawaz Ahmad Sukhera, to arrange a training programme for the development of SME members.

“Smeda members expect the business associations to offer guidance and support and also work with the government to formulate policy and long-term planning for the respective trade or services that they represent,” he said.
