Trucks strike suspends DAP supply upcountry

KARACHI - The supplies of over 25,000 tons of DAP urea from Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited (FFBL) Plant to dealers and farmers of the country are suspended for the last five days due to ongoing strike of goods transporters. If supplies of DAP are not restored immediately the sowing of wheat crop may be delayed and affected the major parts of the country.

Fauji Fertilizer Bin Qasim Limited, is the only urea and DAP production plant situated in outskirts of Karachi is unable to transport itís DAP and urea to farmers across the Pakistan which has created shortage of DAP in upper parts of the country. Sources said that this situation may result in a huge loss to the agriculture sector.
