Water level in Tarbela and Mangla Dams rise rapidly

Water level in Tarbela and Mangla Dams is rising rapidly, as six feet surge was recorded during the past 24 hours.

It should be mentioned that on Sunday, water inflow in Tarbela Dam was recorded at 2,78,900 cusecs and discharge at 1,40,000 cusecs while water level in the Dam stands at 1487.42 feet, which is 63 feet less that the highest water level of 1550 feet. Usable water reserve in Tarbela Dam stands at 33,35,000 acres feet.


Water level in Mangla Dam was recorded at 1166.65 feet, as water inflow in the Dam was70,810, discharge at 15,000 on Sunday while usable water reserves stood at 26,64,000 acres feet.


Usable water reserves in both Tarbela and Mangla Dams aggregate to over 5.9 million ace feet.
