Terrible Need of Quality IT Education & Training in Pakistan

In order to gain consistent economic & social stability, there is a terrible need for Pakistan to educate, train and bring its workforce as well as professionals up to international educational standards giving top most priority to IT education & training. Pakistan must focus and avail every opportunity to transform its economy into an information-based economy through up gradation of technical and managerial skills of its people that can only be done by providing quality IT education & training. In spite of having several reputed universities and colleges, Pakistan produces hardly 1000 IT professionals of international standard per year. With the shrinking global scenario, Pakistan urgently needs to revolutionize its educational policies. Though, the government has already diverted much of its attention on IT segment but, still it has to be seen that these actions bear fruits. The country dreadfully requires a large number of highly trained computer scientists and engineers who not only perform research and development functions but also provide effective teaching and training support to academia and industry as well as an intellectual assistance to the IT Industry (with special emphasis on software in particular) to be able to compete at the international level. To achieve these goals, quality IT education & training is needed. IT universities & institutes should play their role by offering their co sensuous guideline & assistance in development of course material, remote teaching facilities through their faculty students etc. We therefore, need to fully exploit the advantages of IT to our benefit that can only be done by imparting quality IT education & training under the monitoring of both public & private sector.

As far as private sector’s contribution is concerned, Kalia Group being one of the leading private sector organizations has yet again made its mark by inaugurating KalSoft Academy, a latest division of KalSoft (Pvt) Ltd. The Academy is equipped with the most modern infrastructure and state-of-the-art computer laboratories and provides (1) its customers, (2) its executives and (3) Computer Science Graduates & Masters with the most comprehensive and authoritative training on Microsoft products and technologies using latest tools, world class learning content from Microsoft, all delivered by expert training professionals. May Allah succeed us, Ameen.
