IT Department is responsible for selecting, implementing,
maintaining, supporting and updating all things technology
related within the Head Office as well as to other locations.
Our responsibilities now include security systems and more.
These responsibilities will continue to expand.
Over the past few years the IT Department added many new
services to the KKI’s technology infrastructure. The IT
Department continues to consolidate and standardize hardware and
software technologies wherever possible. The department attempts
to set an example in making choices and implementing equipment
and systems that are environmentally aware.
In the incoming year the IT Department will continue to maintain
software and infrastructure standards, extend more information
and tolls, provide departments with necessary technologies to
operate efficiently and leverage new technologies in ways which
will serve residents for years to come.
The IT Department maintains a sophisticated Network
Infrastructure with quality equipment. The main task of the
KKI’s IT Department is to p provide cost-efficient, user
friendly IT support to KKI’s different business areas. The
department is responsible for the operation, maintenance,
purchasing, development, change and adaptation of applications
and systems as well as for general IT security and the PC
environment. KKI’s network is based on Windows platform; works
with tried and tested IT solutions and mainly uses purchased
standard systems. The KKI’s IT vision serves as a guide for the
department’s activities, indicating the direction for the KKI’s
IT support over the coming year periods. The IT vision was
adopted by the Board of Directors and includes as increased
focus on support for information management in policy activities
(structured document and data management) greater mobility and
rationalization with the aid of technical solutions. The
relationship between the IT Department and the other departments
are governed by a customer supplier approach. This involves
clear line of contact between the departments and a focus on
utility.
The IT Department of KKI works closely with all our other
divisions and offices. In addition to advising organizations
managements on investments in current and upcoming technologies,
the IT Department also provides technical support in the form of
troubleshooting, maintenance and training.
