Ans. Since July 1999, 10% deduction of withholding tax has been announced for all prize bonds draw prizes.

Ans. State Bank and commercial banks stop selling and purchasing prize bonds after one month of draw of a particular prize bond denomination. However, transactions continue in open market with premium. This premium increases as the date of draw comes closer. This is called open market rate. These rates are updated regularly at http//prizebonds.kalpoint.com.

Q.23. What is the valid time period for claiming a prize?
Ans. Maximum time period to avail the prize is six years from the date of draw.
